Senior impact investing professional, impact entrepreneur, and Oxford MBA, Daniela has lived experience in emerging markets and has seen the power of blended finance with high additionality. She has 17 years of experience across 3 continents (Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Europe) in 7 sectors (agriculture, renewable energy, education, healthcare, fintech, clean cooking, waste). Before joining the Global Centre on Adaptation, Daniela has created innovative financing strategies and structures to address climate and social challenges: she co-designed a quasi-equity investment instrument for a global VC in Africa, an MSME lending product for solar projects in India and was the 1st employee in a pioneering company that designs and builds joint ventures to improve the climate resilience of smallholder farmers in East Africa.
